Maaike Hoijtink

Deventer, Netherlands
English, Dutch

I found out about The Work in 2002. Ever since then it has supported me in rediscovering myself. It has opened me up in a beautiful, honest, fearless and profound way. It has brought me back to me. Back home. I had looked at myself in many different ways, and The Work brought clarity, an end to many old stories, unknown depth and above all true freedom.

With The Work I have looked at all my ways of suffering. It has brought and still brings me deep insights in areas like, my history, my addictions, family, money issues, relationships, sexuality, the flow of life, no doing and no knowing.

As a Certified Facilitator I have a lot of experience in any area involving working and being with other people and how we communicate and connect with each other. I am especially experienced with anything to do with addictions in the broadest sense of the word.

I have worked in all areas of the addictions healthcare field in The Netherlands. My last job was as a case manager for clients who were seen as people with addictions, living in chronic, complex crisis situations. Since 2008 I quit my job in the addictions healthcare and moved my focus fully to The Work within the Institute for The Work, and within my daily life... stepping into the largest area of addiction: my thoughts.

If you would like to do The Work, please contact me to set up an appointment through email. I work on the phone, on Skype and in person when possible.
