The Work: Following the Simple Directions

31 August–1 September 2012
Santa Rosa, CA, USA

Doing The Work is a simple and powerful process you can use to live a more joyful and freer life. Join this workshop and discover peace and acceptance in you, and in the world. You need no special preparation. This workshop will work equally well for persons seasoned in The Work and for beginners.

Friday evening we will be watching the inspiring video, “Turn It Around” where Katie briefly explains The Work and also works directly with several people. This will be followed by discussion and an opportunity for any questions you might have. (Friday is optional for candidates.)

Saturday is a day of centering attention on your internal self, questioning your stories, and just noticing. Following the simple directions to question sincerely, to be still and listen, to be open, to allow your innate wisdom to inform you, and to be gentle, will reveal a personal reality with more peace, joy and freedom. The invitation is for you to be willing to become aware of possibilities beyond what you think you know; to be willing to enter and be present with the unknown.

This workshop will offer you the safety and the supportive structure for deep exploration. It includes guided exercises, demonstrations, and practice doing The Work with partners. It encourages you to set your self free from distress as you realize that “You are the teacher and healer you’ve been waiting for.” (Quote from Loving What Is, page 28)
