Kick the Habit for Love, Approval and Appreciation

June 11 - 15, 2011
Utrecht, The Netherlands

Seeking love is how you lose the awareness of love. But you can only lose the awareness of it, not the state. This is not an option, because love is what we all are. That’s immoveable. When you investigate your stressful thinking and your mind becomes clear, love pours into your life, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
--Byron Katie

How do you go about seeking the love, approval, and/or appreciation of others? Are you even aware of all of the ways you live your life and the amount of time and mental energy you spend doing this? Have you ever been afraid to ask for something you wanted or done something that you really didn’t want to do?

In this workshop, you'll identify the thoughts that stop you from asking for what you want and saying “no” when you want to say “no.” You'll uncover the beliefs that are running your life -- the beliefs you aren't even aware of -- and discover your innocence and a way out of other’s people’s business and back home to YOU.

You'll discover:
  • How you compromise your own happiness and freedom in the pursuit of pleasing others.
  • The ways in which you victimize yourself as a love-approval-appreciation addict.
  • What you think you would have if you had someone’s approval.
  • The thoughts that stop you from living honestly and in your own integrity.
  • How to genuinely receive.
  • A way to discover what YOU really want.

This workshop is intended for everyone who wants to find a new way to be in relationship with others. It is appropriate for those new to and those experienced in The Work.

Testimonials
The lovely home we were in and the beautiful countryside of San Miguel were a perfect setting for this wonderful retreat. It was an opportunity to challenge myself through some of my fears as well as time to relax and simply enjoy life. Particularly helpful was Maggie's slow pace and insightful questioning. The perfect people show up! I highly recommend this as a wonderful venue for doing The Work.
–Fredi

The workshop was very well structured; the exercises were powerful and helpful. Your clarity, fearless honesty, guidance, and gentleness allowed me to go deeper and see more of what I needed to see. The venue was amazing, as well as the food and the friendly atmosphere.
