A three-day retreat in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia. ‘The Work of Byron Katie’ in combination with sitting meditation. This will be an opportunity to notice thoughts and belief systems that are beneath the superficial mental chattering and bring them to self-inquiry, using the four questions of the work of Byron Katie. We will do The Work in groups, with a partner or on your own, on whatever stressful thoughts or concepts arise. The investigation of our thinking with the 4 questions of ‘The Work’ brings us back to a still mind and meditation supports us in really listening to our thinking. Noticing and isolating painful or stressful thoughts allows us to bring them to inquiry. In this process we can experience silence on a deeper level in a way that we may not have experienced before. It is open to beginners as well as people experienced in The Work, and/or in meditation. The form meditation will take will not be focused on any specific tradition. He has been a Facilitator of The Work since 2001 and has been practising Zen-Meditation for more than 10 years. Heinz lives in Vienna.
